You can obtain the latest version of this readme file from: http://download2.boulder.ibm.com/sar/CMA/XSA/ibm_utl_itcu_uxspcurrent_readme.txt 1.1 Product overview --------------------- IBM Update Catalog is used to deploy IBM software updates to IBM computers, using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. 1.2 Compatibility with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager --------------------------------------------------------------------- IBM Update Catalog is supported for use with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager 2007. It can also be used in Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 R2. 2.0 DOCUMENTATION ------------------ User's Guide for IBM System Packs for Microsoft SCCM can be downloaded from: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/systems/support/sysmgmt/ibm_utl_itcu_uxspcurrent_guide_10.pdf 3.0 INSTALLATION ----------------- No installation is required for IBM System Packs for Microsoft SCCM. 4.0 USAGE ---------- Typically the user scenario can be described in three steps: 1. Download IBM Update catalog (see Users Guide) 2. Import the catalog into Microsoft SCUP and publish the updates to the WSUS server. The catalog can be imported directly from the web, or from a local disk drive if it has been previously saved. 3. The administrator should be sure to publish and deploy these tools to all IBM client machines.
